Numbers you can actually trust.

Most analytics set-ups are quietly broken: missing conversions, double-counted visits, cookie banners that don’t do what they say. We fix the foundations, set up tracking that respects your visitors’ choices, and give you dashboards that show what’s really working.

How it works

Follow a click

Simplified for illustration. A visitor clicks Donate. Their cookie choices are checked: analytics allowed, marketing allowed. The data goes to a server-side container on your own domain, which sends it to GA4, Google Ads and Meta Conversions API. The donation then appears in the monthly report dashboard.

What usually goes wrong

  1. Missing conversions

Key actions like form sends or donations not tracked at all.

  2. Double counting

The same visit or sale recorded twice.

  3. Broken consent

Banners that don’t actually control what’s collected.

FAQs

Questions we get asked

Why are our analytics numbers different from our ad platforms?

It’s normal for them not to match exactly. GA4 and each ad platform count in different ways: they credit sales to different clicks, use different time windows, and some estimate results when cookies are declined. Big gaps usually mean something is broken, like a missing tag or a conversion counted twice. We find the cause, fix what’s wrong and explain the differences that are expected, so you know which number to use for which decision.

What is server-side tracking, in plain English?

Normally, your website’s visitors’ browsers send data straight to Google, Meta and others. With server-side tracking, the data goes to a container on your own domain first, and that container passes on only what each platform needs. It’s more reliable, because fewer results are lost to ad blockers and browser limits, and it gives you more control over what’s shared.

Will this make our cookie banner compliant?

We set your consent banner up properly and in line with ICO guidance: nothing non-essential runs until a visitor agrees, rejecting is as easy as accepting, and their choices are respected across every tag. That said, we’re not lawyers and this isn’t legal advice. Your own legal or data protection lead should review and sign off your cookie policy and set-up.

What is Google Consent Mode, and do we need it?

Consent Mode tells Google’s tags what each visitor has agreed to, so they behave accordingly: full measurement if they say yes, and only basic, cookieless signals if they say no. If you advertise with Google Ads or use GA4 with visitors in the UK or EU, you need it, otherwise you’ll lose conversion data and some advertising features.

Will server-side tracking slow down our website?

Usually it does the opposite. Moving tags off the page means visitors’ browsers load less code, which can make pages a little faster. The server container runs separately, on your own subdomain, so it doesn’t hold up your site.

Do we own the accounts and data?

Yes. Everything is set up in your own GA4, Tag Manager, Looker Studio and cloud accounts, with us added as users. If we stop working together, you keep everything, along with documentation of how it all works.
